Back to the stats night (this is sure getting a fair run 🙂 ).
An interesting point mentioned by the presenter is that some coaches are starting to realise that the golf swing is not overly important. They’re now thinking the most important thing is,
Scoring and playing the game.
Despite what we think, long driving and improved ball striking doesn’t have that big an impact on score.
These coaches are now mentoring their pupils to work out any way to get the ball into the hole. Instead of thinking about the swing, they’re training their clients to think about score.
I call this “playing golf” and it’s the main focus of this site.
It’s great to see some mainstream instructors catching on.
